We opened Amy Kaslow Gallery in Washington, DC mid-2020 to show contemporary fine art that tells a story. As longtime journalists, we explore the creative genius connected to big ideas and society’s challenges. We promote and elevate emerging and under-exposed established artists. Woven into our story-telling are our K/NOW Dialogue series, hosted on the occasional Thursday at the gallery, to give prominent voices a place to connect with our live and highly-plugged-in community audience.

From our first days to our latest exhibition, we promote the excellence of emerging painters, sculptors, weavers, glass blowers and photographers commanding elevation.

Covering a lot of miles exploring creatives and their markets, Washington, DC native Amy Kaslow writes and photographs K/NOW with a lens on at-risk societies. She, along with her longtime colleague, now Gallery Director Jordan Lee, lead a lean, muscular team to compile research, curate, design and communicate the story of each artist, and every piece on display.

The result is a stunning gallery fusion of art and information.

Building partnerships with museums, embassies and other cultural outlets in Washington, D.C. and across the world allows the gallery to deepen knowledge and broaden the context for our many curious collectors.

The wide open 2,400 square foot space is a welcoming mix of industrial, contemporary and green. It’s a destination for gallery hoppers, a refreshing retreat for art enthusiasts, and a place just to shoot the breeze. Dogs are most welcome.
